Rev Rachel Moss

I join the Vale of Stour Circuit having served my probation in the East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire Circuit. I was ordained in 2024.

I’m passionate about helping churches grow in discipleship, mission and creativity with a firm belief that everyone has gifts to share in God’s work.

I have a particular interest in digital ministry and using digital tools to enable the gospel to be accessible to all. I have recently completed a Masters Degree in Digital Theology and have been part of the Connexional working groups on Online Communion and Online Church. I’ve worked as a partner with Jangala – a social action company to address digital poverty at a grassroots level and have contributed to the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion at Cambridge University’s work on technology for the marginalised.

Before candidating for ministry, I worked as an NHS IT trainer at Birmingham Women’s Hospital and Russell’s Hall Hospital. I also trained as a teacher in Wolverhampton so I know the local area having been born in Wordsley and grew up in Dudley/Netherton. I thank God for being stationed near to my roots!

I enjoy discovering good cafes with cake! I’m looking forward to getting to know the circuit and our communities, discovering together where God is leading in this new season of mission and ministry together.
