Please continue to pray for all those families who lost or suffered severe damage to their properties in the recent Stourbridge fire. We give thanks for all the emergency services who worked tirelessly to put fires out and kept us safe, and for all the volunteers keeping those displaced fed, etc.

Wollaston Methodist Church – Sunday 4th October - Songs of Praise from 6pm. All welcome.

New People for New places

Luke Denley, the Circuit Mission and New Communities Enabler is setting up a new Church within the Vale of Stour Circuit.  The church will be an intergenerational church for all ages centred around food for about 45 minutes each week at 8:30. Luke is very thankful of Brierley Hill Methodist Church where they have kindly agreed for Luke to begin to host the church there.  From the 8th November each week there will be a prayer meeting at 8:30 at Brierley Hill Methodist Church as we prepare to gather for worship that begins on the 6th December 2026.

Ideally Luke is looking to have live worship in the service, but no musicians have come forward to offer help.  If this is something that you might like to offer, please get in touch with Luke via e mail vosmance@outlook.com.

Luke has had some expression of interest for people wanting to join this church but if this feels like you may want to join or offer any help please let Luke know.

Community Tea

Stourbridge Methodist Church (Gig Mill) continue their new Community Tea initiative, Time For Tea - on Tuesday 6th October from 2:30pm – 4pm, the first Tuesday of the month.  A poster is attached.
 

Harvest Lunch – The United Church Lye – Saturday 10th October – 12:30pm (Poster attached)
 

Change of venue – Sunday 11th October – Morning Service will take place at Gig Mill and not New Road.
 

Action for Children Coffee Morning

Dudley Wood Methodist Church- Saturday 17th October, 10:30am - see poster for details.  Donations of Cakes for the Cake Stall would be much appreciated.
 

Women of the Gospels

Bible Study – The United Church Lye – beginning Tuesday 20th October at 7:30pm. Poster attached. All welcome.
 

Les Oiseaux Autumn Concert

Amblecote Wordsley Methodist Church - Autumn Concert by Les Oiseaux on Saturday 24th October at 2:30pm. Tickets £5, you can pay on the door.  See Poster.
 

Thanks For The Memories - Music and Singing for our Wellbeing

The circuit is delighted to continue Monthly afternoon singing of favourite songs from the past and from the musicals.  This will be at Amblecote Wordsley, the next event being on Sunday 25th October, with tea from 3:30pm and singing from 4-5pm.  All are welcome - see attached poster.  Here is the programme for 25th October.
 

'Anchored' Kinver Youth Group

Kinver Methodist Church have begun a new Youth Group – "Anchored" – for secondary school aged young people. Friday evenings, from 5:30pm - 7pm – See the attached flyer.
 

Eden Toddler Group at Stourbridge Methodist Church (Gig Mill)

Stourbridge Methodist Church (Gig Mill) - all Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Guardians, you are all welcome to pop in with babies and toddlers to the Eden Toddler group !  The group is held weekly on Fridays, from 9:30am to 11:30am.

Foodbank Collections

Amblecote Wordsley Methodist Church are now holding Foodbank Collections – Tuesdays from 1:30pm till 4pm.
 

Kinver Exodus Bible Study Series

A series of Bible Studies has begun on Tuesdays at 7:30pm, at Kinver Methodist Church.  All are welcome.  A poster is attached.
 

Activities at The United Church Lye

  • First Tuesday of the month - 2-3 pm Tuesday Club, informal gathering with different activities each month. Cost is £2 : contact Jacqueline Hill for details 0780 1030844 or Elizabeth Long 07928 808772.

  • Third Tuesday - Discussion Group 7.30pm (very informal, Bible based, cake provided!).  The next meeting will be on 20th October, beginning a series on Women of the Gospels.

  • The Luncheon Club now meets each Friday at 11am, 3 course meal plus friendship all for £5. Contact Margaret Mullett on 07904 514764.

VOS Virtual Platform

Please Make Use of the Circuit Online Meeting Space - It's free, funded by the circuit...

Alongside VoSWorship, the Circuit Platform has been undergoing an update thanks to the CTC team and I encourage churches to use this FREE resource - funded by the circuit for online gatherings such as Bible Study, Prayer, Games Nights etc.  It's a fantastic and easy to use environment and there are many folk already trained across the circuit who can open a room for you to host your event / meeting.
