Rev Jem Hawkins

What a privilege it is to join the family of churches in the Vale of Stour.

I have moved here alongside my wife Wendy and our son.  We are thankful for the warm welcome we have received.

It is a delight to be able to walk the path of life alongside the church family and our communities.  Having discovered local walks alongside the cut and through the woods, and across some commons, we are aware how beautiful and diverse, muddy and firm are the paths we walk in life and through life… and whatever path we find ourselves on we are never alone: God’s presence can be seen in the wonder of nature around us, and in the loving friendship we know as Jesus walks with us (even to the Edge and back)!

I am also a Wolves supporter and a real believer in the love of God who doesn’t give up on us.

I am so grateful to the friends who support – be they new friends or friends who have shared our journey for many years – from the Bahamas, Florida, Wolverhampton & India to Barnsley, Cannock Chase, Dudley & Netherton and Hidden River where we have been stationed.  It is a privilege to walk together!

We have been in ministry in the UK since 1999 (not counting our 2 years in the Bahamas). Before that I was a physics / science teacher.

I pray that in all things, we may seek and find and be refreshed in the gracious love of God.
