Rev Ajay Singh

Rev Ajay Singh is fascinated by the quotation of Rev John Wesley,

“The World is my Parish”.

He is a calm, loving and caring person and has a passion to preach the word of God. He likes meeting people and quite open to receive the sharing from all walks of life in Godly love. English is his second language, though! But he speaks Hindi/Urdu and understands couple of regional languages of India e.g. Gujarati, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Bengali, a bit of Sanskrit and few dialects like Magahi and Bhojpuri.

In the year 1992 he did a Bachelor of Divinity (BD) for 3½ years from Senate of Serampore University, West Bengal, India and has been ordained as Presbyter in October 1995. He served 12 years in various capacities as Presbyter, School Manager, Youth Director, Director for Evangelism and Co-ordinator for several projects under the Diocese of Patna in Bihar and Lucknow Diocese in Uttar Pradesh in Church of North India. Last but not the least was the in-charge of All Saints’ Cathedral at Allahabad, U P, India before he moved to England on the invite by the British Methodist Church through the World Church in Britain Partnership in July 2004.

Since September 2004 he has been serving under the British Methodist Church in Swindon & Marlborough Circuit (currently known as East Wiltshire Circuit) under Bristol District as a World Church Partner and then has been received into Methodist Connexion at Wolverhampton conference in 2009. He moved then to Bristol and South Gloucestershire Circuit where he has served for six years in the urban, rural and city churches; where he has served the District Leadership team as Assistant Synod Secretary.

From September 2015 he very excitedly moved in and became the part of leadership in the Black Country under the Vale of Stour Circuit in Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District, he joined us with the pastoral charge at Lawrence Lane (Old Hill), Overend Methodist Mission (Cradley) and Providence Methodist Church (Colley Gate) along with his wife Latika who has also received the Call to ministry and she is preparing to respond soon. They have two lovely daughters Shekinah in College and Sharon in High School.

He wishes God’s blessing be upon everyone who believes in God through Lord Jesus Christ!
“God’s name be always praised!”
