The
present building was dedicated in 1966 and became the place of worship for
those who were at Moss Grove and Mount Pleasant. Worship takes place every
Sunday morning and evening. It is enhanced by the choir in the evening and
every fortnight “Welcome to Worship” offer praise for half an hour before the
morning service. The Junior Church has a committed team of workers and one of
the delights near the end of the morning service is when the children and young
people present to the congregation some of their activities that day. The
care and well being of young people continues throughout the week. The
playgroup meets most mornings and the uniformed organisations in the evenings.
The church and the community make full use of the buildings. The Wordsley
Amateur Dramatic Society and the Gwynne School of Dancing use the hall for
rehearsals and productions and the Gentlemen Songsters meet every week. Thus we
are very much part of the local community. Weekly
activities include an Afternoon Fellowship Meeting, a Ladies Friendship Group
and Stitchers (fortnightly). The
Kingswinford Krawlers will take you out and about the surrounding
countryside on Saturdays.
One of
the highlights of the year is the Christmas Festival. There will a Junior Church presentation on Dec 14th, a
Christingle Service, Dec 19th, Carol Service, Dec 21st and midnight Holy Communion Dec 23rd.
Do come and join us and feel the warmth of our fellowship |

A letter
from Anastase and Julienne 2nd December 2008
Dear Rev. Michael,
Greetings in Christ's name. Julienne
and I would like to thank all the friends at Kingswinford Methodist
Church for the warm welcome extended to us last Sunday. We enjoyed
both the worship and fellowship with you and felt very much loved and
affirmed in our ministry at PHARP - Rwanda. May we also take this
opportunity to thank you for all the support you have given to the
Komera Project. Thank you, personally, for coming to pick us up at Paul's
Manse and bringing us back there. We will write when we get back to Rwanda to share with you about the trip. God bless you all. Anastase and Julienne
